Like the instrument, Laskey Tuba Mouthpieces are a towering presence in low brass playing. With a thicker sound and more complex geometry, every aspect of a Laskey Tuba Mouthpiece, from the iconic rim to the exterior shape and cup, has been carefully designed to provide clear articulation, precise slotting, and crisp response.
The Geib-style G Series produces a more brilliant sound than the H Series and works incredibly well on rotary valve tubas.
After testing numerous tuba makes and models, two shank sizes were developed to meet the needs of a wide variety of mouthpiece receivers: American (US) shanks fit most American made and styled instruments, while European (EU) shanks fit many European made and styled instruments, with the exception being most 6/4 CC tubas, which require the EU shank.

Great mouthpiece with a good balance between sound, body and articulation.
My 1976 Mirafone 188 needed a better MP. All I had were Funnel styles, which worked, but not quite the right fit for this horn.
Quite pleased! Thank You.

First, I purchased a second hand 30C. I liked the crisp response and the feel of the rim… but the bottom end was still not slotting well on my Cerveny 681 Bb.
Looking at your comparison chart, I saw that the B or G configurations were more appropriate. This 30G helps resolve the bottom end, and still slots the top end well. Previously used Bach 7, and Helleberg.
I love this mouthpiece. Everyday I get excited to practice and be able to make an amazing sound because of the wonder mouthpiece. It is amazing and I have recommended all of my students and friends to buy them!
I borrowed this mouth piece from my teacher and immediately loved my sound on it. It allowed me to feel stronger and better while playing and I think the cost of it on this store is very worth it! Thank you!
My Laskey 32G mouthpiece works like a dream on my PT-20 4/4 CC tuba. The response is even across all registers of the horn. My sound feels clearer. The bore of the mouthpiece allows each note to pop while emphasizing the natural resonance of my horn.
It is a phenomenal mouthpiece that my band director recommended to me. He happens to own the same model but much older. I love playing with it and the quality is fantastic
The sound of the mouth be sounded very beautiful and I really liked the warmth of the tone. There wasn’t so much resistance on playing so it felt really free on playing and I felt like I could play anything. Thank you, Laskey!
Excellent quality. I thought the rim was going to be a bit wide, but because of the shape of the edge it feels really good. It fit perfectly on my 5/4 BBb contrabass tuba with rotors, just as recommended on the website regarding the G series.

Excelente calidad. Pensé que iba a ser algo ancho el aro, pero por la forma del borde se siente muy bien. Me quedó perfecta para mí Tuba Contrabajo en Sib 5/4 con rotores, como recomiendan en la pagina respecto a la serie G.
I ordered a 28H and 30H - for my F tuba and for my CC tuba. I use the smaller rim on my F and larger rim on my CC. I also got a 28G and 30G. It’s hard to choose which I like better between the H and the G. I feel like both have their own applications in which they would be useful. The H produces a bit of a mellower, rounder sound with less of an edge. The G is noticeably brighter, but in a really cool way that I like a lot. I intended on only keeping 2 of these mouthpieces but I will likely keep all 4 as they are awesome. Thank you Laskey for continuing to produce these top of the line mouthpieces. I was concerned they wouldn’t be as good as when Scott Laskey was making them (RIP Scott!) but they have exceeded my expectations. Whether you prefer the G or the H, or another model, buy a Laskey mouthpiece. They’re the best.
It was amazing to play I had pain with my last mouthpiece and this is I have none I am definitely going to recommend Laskey to the rest of my fellow band members
I have had the new mouthpiece for a week now and find it to allow for playing the very low notes with less effort. I would recommend this 32G EU to anyone who wants to play in the low range.
Absolutely love this mouthpiece. A definite upgrade from the Helleberg I have been using for 6 years. 100% would recommend for someone looking for that mouthpiece that will further your ability. Really love the tone quality from this mouthpiece. It really makes my rotor valve tuba sing.
I've been playing tuba for more than 20 years and played on a Denis Wick Classic 1 since 2008. I tried the equivalent mouthpiece with the closest specifications from my Wick, which turned out to be either the 28H or the 30G.
After trying both, I wound up buying the 30G which gives me more ease on the slurs throughout the whole range and, bonus, My lower register opened up even more.
Thank you Laskey.
The laskey 30G resonates on my rotor horn like no other mouthpiece I have played before, it’s highly responsive, allows for a massive sound, and maintains a full dark sound at all dynamics and in all ranges. This mouthpiece is a game changer for me, I highly recommend it for anyone on a rotor Tuba.
I am currently a high school senior, this is the first upgrade to my mouth piece in 6 years of playing. My Tuba instructor recommended this mouth piece. What an amazing difference. I plan to continue playing in college. Thank you.
I ordered the 30G and was packaged very nicely in a plastic air tight container with a anti tarnish strip which is so nice of Laskey to do and go the extra mile in providing safe and quality shipment/care of the mouthpiece. Overall the mouthpiece looks great and i'm so excited to play on it for the first time.
