The 75G gives my horn such a crisp sound, without sacrificing the glorious tone it gives, without feeling too big for the lips either. Truly a wonderful mouthpiece.

Featuring a unique rim contour that set the standard for modern day horn mouthpieces, the Laskey G Series rim shape allows for effortless flexibility, along with a high degree of control and accuracy. The rim contour is round with a definite high point towards the inner edge, providing clear articulation and precise slotting through the entire range.
The G Series is our standard cup, providing the best mix of tonal clarity and colour to virtually every player. While slightly shallower than other cups, the G Series is optimal for a wide range of playing styles and artists of all pedagogical backgrounds. All models are available in both American and European shanks.
A slight departure within the G Series is the 85GW. A signature model for Gail Williams, the 85GW features a narrower rim on the same G Series underpart, providing greater flexibility and movement within the iconic Laskey rim.
After testing numerous horn makes and models, two shank sizes were developed to meet the needs of a wide variety of lead pipes: American (US) shanks fit most American made and styled horns, while European (EU) shanks fit many European made and styled horns.
All Laskey G Series Horn Mouthpiece cup sizes are made with a standard throat size of .182”/(“14”)/4.62mm.
Laskey Horn Mouthpieces are listed by the approximate inside diameter metric measurement. If a mouthpiece measures 17.25mm on the ID, the size is the last two or three digits, or 725.

(L-R: 725G; 775G gold; 80G gold; 85G) I've owned quite a few horns over the past 40 years, and I tried a lot of different mouthpieces. The first time I ever tried a 75G (handed to me directly by Scott in his Chicago shop), that was the end of my searching. G-series mouthpieces fit my face better than any other mouthpieces in the world. My current (and hopefully last) horn is a Yamaha 672ND, and it doesn't matter which Laskey I put on the instrument, I get a better sound out of this horn than I've ever experienced before. Simply amazing.

Very good sound and reaction in both high and low register ,specially for low horn player. I recommend 825G who play 2nd/4th horn in orchestra .

Even when I took it out of its plastic shell, I knew that the 75G Gold mouthpiece was for me. The rim is thick enough that I don't have to strain my embouchure, and it is heavy and dense to give me a more resonant sound. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!
This mouthpiece is very comfortable and excellent for intonation ! Unfortunately, the Europe model doesn't fit my Schmid well, and the mouthpiece has already fallen off twice, fortunately without damage... but two others have already fallen off and are permanently dead... Is the gap left between the end of the shank and the branch the secret to this excellent mouthpiece ?
The 775 Laskey mouthpiece was recommended to me as a good mouthpiece to upgrade in size. I played a Schilke 29 previously which was a good mouthpiece, but proved to be too small for me with the effect of tiring my lips out more during long periods of playing because of the smaller mouthpiece size and swelling nature of my embouchure. I decided to try the 775G Laskey mouthpiece and it has been a great experience playing it. It has felt natural to play on the 775G from when I first tried the mouthpiece and it seems like I can play horn longer without my lips getting as tired. Switching to the 775G also stabilized and improved the pitch center of some of the notes when playing my geyer wrap horn, which has been a nice surprise. Overall I’m very happy that Laskey was recommended to me and I am excited to continue using the 775G and potentially try other Laskey variants.
I had heard a lot of good things about Laskey mouthpieces, but I didn't want to have too high expectations, since a new mouthpiece might not solve problems you're having. Well, this one more or less did! I am amazed how easy and comfortable it feels to play the horn now. I have tried Yamahas, Bachs, Denis Wicks and a Farkas and they were all ok but there was always something not quite right. Sounds great and feels great, what more could one ask for?

I started the fall season on a new Laskey 85GW. Excellent mouthpiece for those who like a wide cup diameter. Nice flexibility, important for low horn specialists. Nice big sound yet still good response and high range. However, I decided to go with the 85E for low horn in order to alternate more easily with the 85G (when my high range needs a boost!). All great mouthpieces, well crafted. Plus, a minor unanticipated issue was rectified quickly at no extra cost. Great products, excellent service! Bruce Kenney, Atlanta Symphony.

As I've gotten older and no longer play professionally, I found it to fit my embochure needs very well from top to bottom. I bought one for a student who hadn't played horn for several decades but wanted to pick horn up again. It has worked very well for her. I used to play a big mouthpiece for much of my career butcwas skeptical that a smaller mouthpiece would work well for my lower register need but I very pleasantly surprised. Thank you
